Another Spring Dalean notches a seat in a globally ranked top institution of Canada
Ateeya Sandhu, a student of Grade XII (Humanities), Spring Dale Senior School, has made her school proud by securing a seat in St George Campus, University of Toronto, in the faculty of Arts and Science. She shall be pursuing a course in the social sciences stream there.
Giving details, Mr Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Principal, Spring Dale Senior School, said that the university ranks first in Canada, 19th in the world and 14th in the world in Social Sciences, the subject that Ateeya has got admission into.
An elated Ateeya Sandhu said that she looked forward to this new chapter in her life. Mr Sharma further said that with the awareness of the importance of a good education permeating through the minds of the public coupled with the increasing affordability of courses in foreign universities and the penchant for well-paying and satisfactory jobs that they bring with them, had made studying abroad more of a necessity than a status symbol these days.
Dr Kirat Sandhu Cheema, Director, Spring Dale Educational Society, and Mr Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, Director and Managing Trustee, Spring Dale Educational Society, said that the school encouraged its students to go for higher education abroad. “The school is also a centre for SAT and Advanced Placements (AP) exams, which are required for seeking admission to other international universities,” they maintained.
They reiterated their commitment to impart the best of education to the students to enable them to secure seats in the best of educational institutions around the globe besides grooming them in such a way so as to enable them to blossom into responsible global citizens.
