Budding sharpshooters from Spring Dale Senior School hit the bulls eye which helped them secure gold and silver medals during the Fourth Gun for Glory Shooting National Championship held at Pune. Kavya Jain and Nabarun Singh, both Spring Daleans, bagged gold medals in the event, while Penaz Heir, also from Spring Dales, won a silver medal.
Mr Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Principal, Spring Dale Senior School, said that Sehnazdeep Singh, Sandhu, Dhanush Bhalla and Shehbaaz Singh Gill, were other members of the school team, who bagged positions in the tournament. “Our students competed with 300 participants from different schools. We provide our potential shooters with state-of-the-art facilities to hone their sporting talent,” he said.
He added that the craze for shooting as a sport was as palpable among the girl students as it was among the boys. Dr Kirat Sandhu Cheema, Director, Spring Dale Educational Society, and Mr Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, Director and Managing Trustee, Spring Dale Educational Society, congratulated the winners.
