Spring Dales’ cagers win laurels at Annual Basketball Tournament
Exhibiting outstanding sporting skills and sportsman spirit, budding cagers from Spring Dale Senior School, proved their mettle in basketball once again by winning the first position in the Annual Basketball Tournament organized by Radha Soami Satsang Beas.
Tanveer Singh Sandhu, a budding basketball player from Spring Dales, was adjudged the best player of the tournament. Giving details, Mr Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Principal, Spring Dale Senior School, said that a total of 10 teams from different schools, participated in the event.
“The school is a nursery for budding sports persons aspiring to play for the nation, besides achieving excellence in academics, other co-academics. The institution has provided its budding sports persons with a top class Basket Ball court replete with flood lights facility for practice. Budding players can be seen hard at practice here till late evening,” he maintained.
Dr Kirat Sandhu Cheema, Director, Spring Dale Senior School, and Mr Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, Managing Trustee, Spring Dale Educational Society, congratulated the winners. “The school is proud of their achievement,” they said.
