Spring Dalean bags laurels in Open State Chess Tournaments
 
Displaying amazing gaming skills and methods, Bhavesh Mahajan, a student of Spring Dale Senior School, added to the tally of medals won by the school in various chess competitions, by winning a bronze medal in the under-11 category in the Open State Chess Tournament held in Amritsar.
 
He rubbed shoulders with chess masters from different teams from across the state in this event. Mr Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Principal, Spring Dale Senior School, said that Bhavesh competed with at least 30 chess masters from different schools to bag the bronze medal in the under-11 category.
 
Meanwhile, Bhavesh dazzled his competitors with his intellectual capabilities in chess in Under 09 category during the Open State Chess Tournament held at Jalandhar. This event witnessed the participation of 25 teams from across the state and Bhavesh competed with the chess masters accompanying these teams.
 
Dr Kirat Sandhu Cheema, Director, Spring Dale Senior School, and Mr Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, Managing Trustee, Spring Dale Educational Society, congratulated Bhavesh Mahajan for his achievements in both the tournaments.
