North Indian badminton team comprising Spring Dalean bags silver in Third Indo-Nepal Youth Badminton Championship

Omkar Pawar, a budding shuttler from Spring Dale Senior School, has done the institution proud by being a part of the team that represented North India in the Third Indo-Nepal Badminton Rural Games held at Nepal. The team bagged a silver medal in the senior category in the event, which witnessed the participation from various teams from India and Nepal.
 
Giving details, Mr Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Principal, Spring Dale Senior School, said that Omkar, who was a student of plus one of the school, had been selected for the tournament on the basis of his dazzling performance in the Badminton Championship, organized by Youth Rural Games and Sports Federation of India at Sirsa, in which he won a gold medal.
 
“Maintaining his form and play, Omkar contributed to the overall performance of the team in the play offs by his own dazzling performance, which enabled the team to secure a silver medal in the championship,” he said.
 
Congratulating Omkar Pawar, Dr Kirat Sandhu Cheema, Director, Spring Dale Senior School, and Mr Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, Managing Trustee, Spring Dale Educational Society, said that the school provided latest infrastructure and well-qualified coaches to its sports persons to hone their sporting skills. “The school is committed to constantly upgrading its academic and sports infrastructure to provide the best of education and sports training to its students,” they said.
