Spring Daleans score a hat trick in competitions held at Chandigarh
Trounce participating elite schools of north zone to emerge winners for the third time
 
Endorsing the school’s spirit of ‘Excelsior’ and the perpetual will of its staff and students’ to work hard and win competitions, Spring Dale Senior School added yet another feather to its cap by scoring a hat trick and retaining its title of overall champion for the third consecutive year, in the annual event held at Vivek High School, Sector 38, Chandigarh, in which students from various schools competed in Business Quiz and Debate.
 
The Spring Daleans scored a hat trick in debate, bagging a trophy in it for the third consecutive year, also winning a trophy in the business quiz for the second time. Siddhant Arora and Aryan Khanna, both members of the three-member team also including Sabhya Kapoor, from Spring Dales, were declared the Best Speaker and the Second Best Speaker, respectively, in this event.
 
Teams from 18 select schools in the northern region including Lawrence School, Sanawar, Vasant Valley School, Delhi, Auckland House School, Shimla, and select schools from Chandigarh, were invited to participate in the annual event at Vivek High School, in which entry is solely by invitation and is open only to the crème de la crème among the elite schools in the region.
 
“Spring Daleans were a force to reckon with in various competitions of the event. The magnitude of our achievement is so immense that all through our stay there, we were the centre of every one’s attention and were treated like heroes and enjoyed a ‘star status’,” said Mrs Vimmi Sethi, the teacher accompanying the team from Spring Dales.
 
Mr Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Principal, Spring Dale Senior School, said, “It is a matter of great pride for the school to establish its credentials in various fields among the topmost schools in the region.”
 
He maintained that the event held at Vivek Public School is an annual feature of the school. “Our school has been participating in this event for the past three years, and has been winning the overall championship trophies, scoring a hat trick this time by winning it for the third time this year,” he said.
 
Elated at the hat trick scored by the school at Vivek High School, Sector 38, Chandigarh, Dr Kirat Sandhu Cheema, Director, Spring Dale Senior School, and Mr Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, Managing Trustee, Spring Dale Educational Society, congratulated the winners. “Their achievement is, indeed, noteworthy as it has firmly cemented the school’s reputation as an achiever among the elite schools of the country,” they said.
