Spring Daleans reap a harvest of gold in the 20th Open District Roller Skating Tournament held at Ranjit Avenue
Budding roller skaters from Spring Dale Senior School literally reaped a harvest of gold in the 20th Open District Roller Skating Tournament held at Ranjit Avenue, Amritsar. The roller skaters from Spring Dales bagged 12 gold medals, two silver medals and two bronze medals in various categories in the event.
Giving details, Mr Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Principal, Spring Dale Senior School, said that the school’s potential roller skaters including Samaira and Sumair, bagged three gold medals each in the under-10 category, while Shreya bagged three gold medals in the under-12 category and Tanayveer bagged three gold medals in the under-14 category, in the event.
“Shivya, another Spring Dalean, bagged two silver medals and one bronze medal, in the under-17 category, while Sidaq won one bronze medal in the under-10 category in this event,” he added. “The school team competed with at least 300 roller skaters from different schools in the district,” Mr Sharma maintained.
Dr Kirat Sandhu Cheema, Director, Spring Dale Senior School, and Mr Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, Managing Trustee, Spring Dale Educational Society, congratulated the winners. They reiterated the school’s commitment to impart the best of academic and sports coaching to all its students, on this occasion.
