Spring Dalean bags third prize in abacus

Exhibiting amazing brain skills, Vedanti Sinha, a student of class V of Spring Dale Senior School, bagged the third prize in the 10th National Level Abacus Competition 2015 and 6th National Level Speed Arithmetic Competition 2015 held in Chennai. She competed with students from various other schools to claim the prize.

Giving details, Mr Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Principal, Spring Dale Senior School, said that the school has teamed up with Nex-Gen Kids’ academy, a branch of Ideal Play Abacus (IPA) India Private Ltd, to run an abacus training programme for its students.

“The competitions, which saw the participation of more than 4000 students for abacus and 500 for speed arithmetic, from all over India, were organized by IPA,” he said. “The aim behind the collaboration with Nex-Gen Kids’ Academy is to enhance the mathematical abilities of our students to ensure a bright future for them,” he added.
