Spring Daleans display amazing brain skills in Bournvita Quiz
Upholding the school’s tradition of excellence in academics, sports, and co-curriculars, the students of Spring Dale Senior School exhibited amazing brain skills in the Bournvita Quiz 2016, the longest running game show of India, held at DAV Public School. Our champs bagged the City Champions trophy in the event, which witnessed the participation of students from several other schools in the district.
Giving details, Mr Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Principal, Spring Dale Senior School, said that the school sent five teams comprising students of classes VI to VIII for the quiz. “Out of all the teams in Amritsar that participated in the quiz, the Spring Dales’ team comprising Hitesh Sodhi and Diven Sekhri, both students of class VIII, bagged the first position and won the City Champions Trophy in the event,” he said.
Stating that this was an enjoyable way of learning things based on General Awareness, Analytical and Logical understanding of Science, Mathematics, Geography and English, he added that students were always encouraged to participate in such events to boost their confidence and IQ levels.
Dr Kirat Sandhu, Director, Spring Dale Senior School, and Mr Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, Managing Trustee, Spring Dale Educational Society, said that the school always encourages its students to participate in quizzes.
“Not only do such events enable students to garner all kinds of knowledge, but also give them the platform and the confidence to share what they have learnt, besides bonding with people and inculcating team spirit among team members. All of these are desirable virtues, which every future leader should possess,” they said.
