Spring Daleans win laurels in tennis and gymnastics
Exhibiting amazing prowess in the field of sports, budding sports persons from Spring Dale Senior School, bagged top positions in the tennis and gymnastics championships held at Amritsar and Maluka, respectively. Aryan Arora, a student of Spring Dale Senior School and a member of the school’s under-12 tennis team, was declared the winner of the AITA Talent Series Tennis Tournament Held at Amritsar.
Giving details, Mr Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Principal, Spring Dale Senior School, said that Aryan Arora competed with at least 32 sports persons, who participated in this tournament. “He was declared the winner, which is a matter of immense pride for the school,” Mr Sharma said.
He maintained that as far as gymnastics is concerned, budding gymnasts from the school participated in the 62nd School State Gymnastics Championship held at Maluka, where Namya Kamboj of class VII of the school, won one silver medal and one bronze medal in the under-17 category, while Gurleen Kaur and Anureet Kaur, of class VI, bagged one bronze medal each in the under-14 category.
Dr Kirat Sandhu Cheema, Director, Spring Dale Senior School, and Mr Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, Managing Trustee, Spring Dale Educational Society, congratulated the winners of AITA Talent Series Tennis Tournament and the 62nd School State Gymnastics Championship, on this occasion.
