Spring Dale remembers its mentors
The Management, Staff and Students of Spring Dale Senior School paid nostalgic tributes to their beloved mentors Dr Shivinder Singh Sandhu and Mrs Manveen Sandhu, former Principal, Spring Dales, who passed into eternity on this day, nine years ago. An Akhand Path was organized for the departed souls. The ‘Bhog’ of the Akhand Path was organized at the Central Khalsa Orphanage.
The staff of the school and the members of the school’s Student Council partook of the ceremony. Addressing the staff members Mr S S Sandhu, Chairman, Spring Dale Educational Society, said that adversity had caused immense loss, in the form of the death of Dr and Mrs Sandhu, to the Spring Dales family and all associated with it. “Given their philanthropic acts, their deaths came as a major blow to those closely associated with them,” he said.
Recalling his association with Dr and Mrs Sandhu, School Principal Mr. Rajiv Kumar Sharma said that they had a vision of elevating their school to be a powerful instrument for social uplift and youth empowerment. “The school team is committed to accomplishing the task assigned by the two elevated souls,” he maintained.
