Spring Dalean among the 14 finalists of the singing reality show
Dhroon Tickoo, an 11-year-old singing sensation from Spring Dale Senior School, has done the institution proud by featuring in the Saregamapa Little Champs Season 6 singing reality show aired on Zee TV. Not only this, he is among the 14 finalists, who have been selected for the final rounds of the show.
Giving details, Mr Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Principal, Spring Dale Senior School, said that while some of the episodes of the final rounds have been shot, shooting for the successive rounds is still underway, with Dhroon Tickoo featuring in these episodes. “We have found out from our sources that these episodes would be telecast in March this year,” he said.
Stating that this budding singing sensation of the school was known for actively participating in various functions and co-curricular activities of the school, Mr Sharma said that the boy started singing at the tender age of three years.
“While it isn’t known as to exactly what inspired him to sing, Dhroon Tickoo’s family was pleasantly surprised to hear him croon a melody one day at the tender age of three. Since then he has always been passionate about singing and they have supported him wholeheartedly,” Mr Sharma said. He maintained that Dhroon had also appeared in other singing reality shows as Voice of India and Indian Idol.
Terming Dhroon Tickoo as a God-gifted child, Dr Kirat Sandhu Cheema, Director, Spring Dale Senior School, and Mr Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, Managing Trustee, Spring Dale Educational Society, said that the school was proud of the boy and his exceptional singing talent. “The school prays for his success in Saregamapa Little Champs Season 6,” they said.
