Bag second runner’s up trophy
AMRITSAR, OCTOBER 6: A team of Spring Daleans did their school proud again by bagging the second runner’s up trophy at the international level in the 10th Edition of the Wild Wisdom Quiz 2017, held at Delhi. The school team comprising Kartik Gaur and Safal Luthra, led by their teacher Neeru Issar, competed with 5202 contestants from 16 international teams to bag this position. They bagged the first position in the national level written test conducted on this occasion.
Giving details, Mr Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Principal, Spring Dale Senior School, said that while other teams from Punjab participated in this event as well, the team from Spring Dales is the only one from Punjab to emerge winners in this quiz. “Their reward (from the organizer) is a two-night-three-day adventure trip at a camp in Ram Nagar, Uttrakhand,” he said.
Mr Sharma added that renowned quiz master Sidharth Basu hosted the show. “The school is proud of the achievements of its team. Every possible effort is made at ensuring that both its teachers and students get opportunities to advance their knowledge of various important issues and hone their oratorical and presentation skills so as to have an edge above their peers,” he said.
Congratulating the winners, Dr Kirat Sandhu Cheema, Director, Spring Dale Senior School, and Mr Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, President, Spring Dale Educational Society, said that the top slot bagged by the staff and students in this event proved that the school was not just doing its bit to sensitize them and the masses through them towards the cause of animal rights, but was rather doing it in the right manner. “The laurels won by the teachers and students in this event point at the fact that they are well-versed with the important issues of national and international importance,” they said.
