Spring Dales’ singing sensation returns to bond with staff and fellow students
Regales them with his melodic performance
While it is not unusual for a celebrity to return to his alma mater years after he or she has graduated from there and achieved stardom, on Saturday, Spring Dale Senior School had the chance to host a very special celebrity guest, who is still studying there, but has achieved national fame because of his melodious voice.
Master Dhroon Tickoo, one of the top six singing sensations of Saregamapa Little Champs aired on Zee TV and a student of class VI of Spring Dale Senior School, returned to his school to bond with his classmates, teachers and members of the management. During his visit to the school he was afforded a traditional welcome with an ‘Aarti’ performed by his classmates, teachers and Principal, and the pulsating beats of the ‘dhol’.
Giving details about Master Tickoo’s visit, Mr Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Principal, Spring Dale Senior School, said that Master Tickoo is one of the finalists of Saregamapa Little Champs being among the top six contestants of the show, the finale of which is to be held on October 29. “He was here for the promotion of the show and also gave a mesmerizing performance in the school assembly hall,” said Mr Sharma.
He added that Master Dhroon Tickoo’s trail to renown passes through a boulevard of music. “The school’s 11-year-old singing sensation has done the institution proud by constantly maintaining his lead and featuring among the top finalists of the Saregamapa Little Champs. We pray for his success in Saregamapa Little Champs and all other future musical endeavours of his,” he said.
Dr Kirat Sandhu Cheema, Director, Spring Dale Senior School, and Mr Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, said Master Tickoo began singing at the tender age of three and has been very passionate about singing ever since was an asset and inspiration not just to the school and its students, but to the society on the whole.
“He has proved that no goal is too high if one tries to attain it with care and confidence. He is an inspiration to all our students. The School is proud of his achievement and wishes him success in all his future endeavours,” they said.
