Spring Dale makes a clean sweep at Fusion Fest 2017

It was a proud moment for Spring Dale Senior School, when its multi-faceted students made a clean sweep, dazzling their competitors with their exceptional prowess in various events hosted during the Fusion Inter-school Technical and Cultural Fair 2017 held at Amritsar College of Engineering and Technology (ACET) and bagged key positions in nearly all the events.
 
Giving details, Mr Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Principal, Spring Dale Senior School, said that teams from Spring Dale Senior School competed with teams from at least 35 schools in and around Amritsar in this event.
 
He added that Tanvi Mahant, a budding writer from Spring Dale, bagged the first prize in the Essay Writing Competition, while Angad, another Spring Dalean, bagged the first place each in Extempore and Group Discussion.
 
“Shantanu and Ishika, potential debaters from our School, bagged the first position in debate competition, while budding artists from our school Shivya, Bhavya and Raghav, bagged the first position in the junk art competition,” Mr Sharma said.
 
He maintained that Tanishq Dhir, and Ansh Mehra, won the first place in the collage making competition, while Rajbir, a budding singer from the school, bagged the second place in the singing competition.
 
“Our teams won the first positions in Group dance, Giddha, and Bhangra, and the second position in the solo dance competition. Avtar Lamba and Prabhav, both students of our school, bagged the second position in the quiz competition,” Mr Sharma added. Simrat Kaur, a student of the School, and Namita, a teacher from Spring Dale, won the Lucky Draw Prize.
 
Dr Kirat Sandhu Cheema, Director, Spring Dale Senior School, and Mr Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, President, Spring Dale Educational Society, congratulated the winners. “The School is proud of their achievements and prays for the success of all their future academic and co-curricular endeavors,” they said.
