Spring Daleans display amazing brain skills to win abacus competition
Exhibiting outstanding intellectual abilities such as prompt thinking and problem-solving skills that left their competitors as well as the organizers completely dazzled, at least 20 budding mathematicians from Spring Dale Senior School, bagged top positions in the State Level Abacus Competition held at Service Club, Amritsar.
Giving details, Mr Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Principal, Spring Dale Senior School, said that the students of the school competed with a total of 510 students from different schools from all over Punjab in this event.
“Devam Aggarwal (Class III), Kritavi Gupta (Class V), Divyam Bajaj (Class II), and Ananya Sharma (Class III), all students of our School, bagged the first positions in their respective categories. Jivesh Maini (Class III), Arihan (Class IV), and Rishit Singh (Class I), all Spring Daleans, won the second position in their respective categories,” he said.
Mr Sharma further revealed that three students of the school bagged the third position and at least 11 students of the school have bagged the fourth position in this competition. He added that the school has teamed up with Nex-Gen Kids’ academy to run an abacus training programme for its students.
“The school aims at enhancing the mathematical abilities of its students by making arrangements for imparting excellent abacus training to them,” he said.
