Principals from CBSE schools in the district meet to discuss challenges involving reintroduction of class X board exams
The decision of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to bring back the time-tested method of board examination to class X, has led the Principals and Examiners of various CBSE schools back to the drawing board again.
Consequently, Principals from CBSE schools in the district including those from Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School GT Road, Spring Dale Senior School, DAV Public School, DAV International School, Bhavan SL Public school , Shri Ram Ashram School, Police DAV Public School converged at Spring Dale Senior School to discuss the intricacies of and to find effective solutions to the same.
Mr Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Principal, Spring Dale Senior School, said that the meeting was attended by 34 Head Examiners from different CBSE schools in the district.
"Attended by the Chief Nodal Supervisors (CNS) and the Head Examiners (HEs) as well, the meeting was convened as per the instruction of Regional Office CBSE.
"The agenda of the meeting was to streamline the CBSE board evaluation work in the light of class 10 board examination coming back and also to enhance the quality of evaluation work to decrease the errors which result in large number of students applying for revaluation work," he said.
Mr Sharma maintained that a report based on the challenges raised and suggestions made by the participants of the meeting shall be sent to the CBSE Office.
