 Spring Dale Boy brings Basket Ball Honour to City

Paras Sharma a students of Plus two brought glory to the city by winning silver medal in the prestigious Basketball Federation Cup held at Chittoor Andhara Pradesh from May 1 to 6. It is noteworthy that only top 8 teams from all over the country are invited for Federation Cup- considered the ultimate basketball tournament in India. Paras Played as part of the ONGC team which won second position in the tournament.
 
Congratulating Paras for making the School and City proud by reaching at the top of National Basketball glory Mr. Rajiv Kumar Sharma praised his talent and dedication to sport. Earlier Paras was honoured by Khelo India School Games (U-17). He has also won positions at Paris World Games, France (U-17), National School Games and Open State Championship (U-19).
 
Chairman Spring Dale Educational Society Mr. Sahiljit Singh Sandhu expressed elation over the achievement of Spring Dale boys in Basketball at the national level. He said that Spring Dale Senior School puts a lot of emphasis on sports and provides the best infrastructure and coaching facilities to sportspersons. Last year the school has renovated its basketball courts upgrading them to international level with caging and flood lights facility for evening practice of players. Director, Dr. Kirat Sandhu Cheema conveyed her congratulations to the winning student for his landmark achievement marking yet another success for the all round education system of the school.
