SOF confers Best Principal Award on Spring Dales’ Principal
In acknowledgement of the hard work put in by the school’s faculty in ensuring noteworthy performances of Spring Daleans at the national and international level in the Olympiads conducted by it, the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) has decided to confer ‘Best Principal - 2017-18 – Punjab & Chandigarh Zone’ Award on Mr Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Principal, Spring Dale Senior School, Amritsar.
The award, sixth in a row, is being conferred for the year for 2017-18 and consists of a trophy, a citation and a cheque amounting to Rs 10,000 each. In a missive to Mr Sharma, Mahabir Singh, Founder and Executive Director, SOF, said that both the award and the performance of the Spring Daleans were quite significant as in 2017-18, more than 45000 schools from over 1400 cities in 30 countries of the world registered for and millions of students appeared in the World’s Biggest Olympiad exams conducted by SOF.
Congratulating Mr Sharma, Dr Kirat Sandhu Cheema, Director, Spring Dale Educational Society, and Mr Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, Chairman, Spring Dale Educational Society, said that the school was proud of the achievements of its faculty and students in the Olympiads and other competitive exams.
“The award is definitely well-deserved and speaks volumes about the expertise of our faculty members and the hard work put in by them towards the cause of imparting quality education to our students,” they said. They added that the school saw the initiation of the Olympiads in the year 2000. “Nineteen years down the line the school is still achieving new landmarks in them,” they added.
