Spring Daleans reap a harvest of medals in national-level gymnastics championships
Potential gymnasts from Spring Dale Senior School did their school proud again by reaping a harvest of medals in the national-level events held at Gwalior and Mohali. The under-12 (girls) team of the school bagged the first position in the Stag Pro League Open National Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship held at Gwalior.
The school team won three gold medals in this event. Giving details, Mr Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Principal, Spring Dale Senior School, said that the school’s under-12 girls team included Gursirat Kaur, Kulnoor Kaur, while the under-8 team of the school that attended the Championship held at Gwalior witnessed the participation of Eknoor Bhatia, who won a bronze medal.
“Gursirat Kaur won two gold medals – one in the Ribbon Event and the other in the Team event, while Kulnoor Kaur won a gold medal in the team event,” said Mr Sharma. He added the same team participated in the Junior and Sub-junior Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship held at Mohali and bagged the second position in the event.
“Gursirat Kaur won two silver medals – one in the clubs and the other in the team event, while Kulnoor Kaur bagged a silver medal in the team event,” he maintained. “The school is proud of the achievements of Gursirat Kaur, Kulnoor Kaur and Eknoor Bhatia,” Mr Sharma said.
Dr Kirat Sandhu Cheema, Director, Spring Dale Senior School, and Mr Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, Director, Spring Dale Educational Society, congratulated Gursirat Kaur, Kulnoor Kaur and Eknoor Bhatia for their feat in gymnastics.
