Spring Dalean selected for Open National Chess Championship

Displaying exceptional intellectual skills and gaming strategy, Anushka Aggarwal, a student of class II, a budding chess master from Spring Dale Senior School, has made it to the under-7 Open National Chess Championship to be held at Chennai. Anushka is among the two students from Punjab and the only one from Amritsar to be selected to participate in this national-level championship.

Giving details, Mr Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Principal, Spring Dale Senior School, said that Anushka was selected for the Open National Chess Championship on the basis of her outstanding performance in the Under-7 Open State Chess Championship held at Amritsar. “Anushka competed with budding chess players from all over the state in this championship in which she bagged the second position,” he said.
Congratulating Anushka, Dr Kirat Sandhu Cheema, Director, Spring Dale Senior School, and Mr Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, Managing Trustee, Spring Dale Educational Society, said that chess is a skill-based intellectual game that requires a robust strategy to win.
“The selection of Anushka Aggarwal in the soon-to-be-held national-level championship and her remarkable performance in the state-level one held recently, are proof of the exceptional academic and sports coaching imparted at Spring Dales. We wish her luck in her future endeavours,” they said.
