Spring Daleans’ spectacular performance in different aspects of Co-scholastic areas
In a series of 4 different competitions in the field of literary, sports, quizzing and commerce Spring Dale brought laurels to the school by making an exceptional mark in all. Inter school debate and Inter School Business Quiz was organized at Vivek High School, Chandigarh on 28th August in which 22 prestigious schools from all over India including Mayo College Ajmer, Sindhia School, Gwalior etc. participated. Kirit Singh Dhillon, Siddhant Arora and Aryan Khanna besides winning the trophies for 1st best speaker, II best speaker and III best speaker respectively succeeded in bringing the running trophy back to school once again. Spring Daleans have evolved as excellent debaters and hence spell bound the audience at Vivek High with their extraordinary impressive rhetoric and oratory. Bikramjit Singh Kukereja, Rajbir Singh and Rahul Goenka added another feather in Spring Dale’s cap by bringing home the winner’s trophy in Inter School Business Quiz hosted the by the same school.
Spring Dale has a long history of creating records in the arena of sports. Young Gymnasts Ankita Sachdeva won a cash reward of 37000 and Sarpreet Kaur Sidhu won 20000/- as an award during the National and International Awardee function organized by Punjab Sports Department on the occasion of National Sports Day. Muskan Vij an ace Gymnast had been shortlisted to interact with Prime Minister on 4 Sept’ 2015 for her International Achievement for which she was earlier given a cheque of Rs. 1,32,000/- by the Deputy C.M. of Punjab.
The list of achievements doesn’t end here. Keeping abreast with their knowledge in quizzing, Spring Daleans were declared the II Runner ups at a Zonal Level Wild Life Quiz Competition held at Millennium School.
In another event called ‘Commerce Fest’ organized by DPS, Amritsar, Spring Daleans bagged Ist position in Power Point Presentation and IInd position in Elocution & the activity entitled ‘Connecting the dots’.
Extremely exhilarated, Mr Rajiv Kumar Sharma, The Principal while congratulating the students said, “Your achievements are undoubtedly commendable and I am proud of them.” This exhibits Spring Dale’s excellence in co-scholastic field which aims at growing all aspects of personality. He encouraged the students to create a legacy of excellence in all fields by the dint of hard work, sincerity and loyalty.
Highly elated at their performance, Mr. Sahiljit Singh Sandhu the Director and Managing Trustee Spring Dale Senior School congratulated the winners and stated, “we take pride in giving children opportunities and preparing them to compete so that they prepare themselves well to enter into a competitive world full of challenges. He added, ‘I am glad to see the winning spree in them”.
Dr. Kirat Sandhu Cheema Director Spring Dale Educational Society said, “Such glorious moments are really heartening as the children develop a sense of healthy competition and a feeling of accomplishment.”
