In continuation of their winning spree in sports, the shuttlers from Spring Dale Senior School won more medals for their school in Open State Badminton Championship held at Moga. The Badminton players from Spring Dales competed with 273 participants to win these medals in their respective categories.
Adhayan Kakkar, a student of class IV of Spring Dales, bagged a gold medal in the under-10 boys’ category in the doubles event and a bronze medal in the singles event, while Garvpreet, a student of class VI of Spring Dales, won a silver medal in the under-13 boys’ category in the singles event and a bronze medal in the doubles event.
Garv Chawla, another student of class VI of Spring Dale Senior School, won a bronze medal in the doubles event in the under-13 boys’ category, while Rishika Seth, also a student of class VI of Spring Dales, won a bronze medal in the doubles event in the under-13 girls’ category in this tournament.
Mr Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Principal, Spring Dale Senior School, while stating that the students’ success in sports epitomized the school’s motto of ‘Excelsior’, attributed the students’ success in sports to the hard work put in by the coaches and the players themselves.
Dr Kirat Sandhu Cheema, Director, Spring Dale Senior School, and Mr Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, Managing Trustee, Spring Dale Educational Society, reiterated the school’s commitment to the cause of providing its budding sports persons with the best of facilities and training to groom them as adept sportspersons.
