Spring Daleans prove their mettle in sports once again

In a development that has once again highlighted the sporting prowess of the Spring Daleans and the excellent sports training imparted to them at their school, budding sports persons from Spring Dale Senior School bagged medals at the state-level badminton and lawn tennis tournaments held at Patiala and Ropar, respectively.
Mridula Batra, a budding shuttler from the school, bagged a bronze medal in the under-17 category, in the team event in the 61st School State Badminton Tournament held at Patiala. The school team competed with six teams in this event.
Meanwhile, upcoming lawn tennis players from the school, Alokik Singh and Chitvan Singh competed with 12 teams to bag a bronze medal in the under-14 category in the team event in the 61st School State Lawn Tennis Tournament held at Ropar.
Mr Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Principal, Spring Dale Senior School, said the institution is proud of their achievements, which speak volumes about the excellent sports training imparted here. “The school possess latest in terms of sports infrastructure, which offers the much-needed cutting edge to the students,” he said.
Dr Kirat Sandhu Cheema, Director, Spring Dale Senior School, and Mr Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, Managing Trustee, Spring Dale Educational Society, congratulated the winners. “We are committed to the cause of providing our budding sports persons with the best of facilities and training to groom them as adept sportspersons,” they said.
