Spring Dale remembers its mentors

The Management, Staff and Students of Spring Dale Senior School paid nostalgic tributes to their beloved mentors late Dr Shivinder Singh Sandhu and Mrs Manveen Sandhu, who melded with the Eternal Light on this day, six years ago. A personal ceremony organized at the private residence of the school’s managers witnessed an immense gathering as the whos-who of the city and even the staff and students of the school including some alumni made a beeline to the Directors’ house to partake of the ceremony. A Kirtan was organized for the departed souls.

During an informal chat with the staff members Mr. S. S. Sandhu the Chairman Spring Dale Educational Society said that though their death was a loss for the larger society given their philanthropic acts but none the less it’s a personal loss for all of us at Spring Dale Senior School as they were attached and associated to each stakeholder of the school at a very personal level.

School Principal Mr. Rajiv Kumar Sharma recalled a long association with the two visionaries during his entire service period. Mr. Sharma said that they had a vision of elevating their school to be a powerful instrument for social uplift and youth empowerment and school team is committed to accomplish the task assigned by the two elevated souls. Sharing the memories of their parents with the staff members, Mr. Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, Dr. Kirat Sandhu Cheema the Directors of Spring Dale Educational Society and Capt. Samarjit Singh Cheema expressed their commitment to march on and to meet the goals envisioned for the larger society by their revered parents.
