Spring Daleans bag laurels in on-the-spot painting competition
Budding Picassos from Spring Dale Senior School bagged laurels in the on-the-spot painting competition organized by the Indian Academy of Fine Arts on the occasion of the 126th Birth Anniversary of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India. The school won the overall trophy in the event.
Giving details, Mr Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Principal, Spring Dale Senior School, said that Ashmita Khera, Harshita and Chetan Kumar, all budding painters from the school, bagged the first, second and third positions, respectively, in the competition, while Riya Singh and Pranjal, both Spring Daleans, got the consolation prizes.
“Our students competed with students from 25 schools in the district in the event. We won the overall trophy,” Mr Sharma said. Dr Kirat Sandhu Cheema, Director, Spring Dale Educational Society, and Mr Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, Managing Trustee, Spring Dale Educational Society, congratulated the winners. “The school is proud of their achievement,” they said.
