Spring Daleans win medals in 53rd Punjab Junior State Gymnastics Championship

Selected for nationals

Maintaining the flow of medals into the school’s treasury of laurels, the budding gymnasts from Spring Dale Senior School won gold, silver and bronze medals in the 53rd Punjab Junior State Gymnastics Championship held at Jalandhar. These gymnasts have been selected for the nationals.
 
Giving details, Mr Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Principal, Spring Dale Senior School, said that the budding gymnasts, who won laurels for the school in the event included Sarpreet Kaur Sidhu, Tisha Mahajan and Vanshika Jayee.
 
“Sarpreet Kaur Sidhu won one gold and one silver medal in the event, while Tisha Mahajan won two silver medals and a bronze medal. Vanshika JAyee bagged two bronze and one silver medal in the championship,” Mr Sharma said.
 
Stating that the school team competed with at least 250 participants in the event, Mr Sharma added that the trio has been selected for the soon-to-be-held nationals on the basis of their outstanding performance.
 
Dr Kirat Sandhu Cheema, Director, Spring Dale Senior School, and Mr Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, congratulated the winners. “The school wishes them good luck in all their future endeavours,” they said.
