Spring Dalean wins laurels in 21st National Sport Climbing Competition
Shivpreet Pannu, a budding sport climber from Spring Dale Senior School, has made her school proud again by winning medals and a cash prize in the 21st National Sport Climbing Competition held at IMF, Delhi. She competed with sport climbers from schools across the country to bag the honour.
Giving details, Mr Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Principal, Spring Dale Senior School, said that Shivpreet Pannu won one bronze medal in the lead category and another in the speed category besides winning a cash prize amounting to Rs 7,500 in the event. “She competed with around 200 students from across the nation to win these prizes,” he said.
Terming Sport Climbing as an ‘exceptional sport’, he added that previously too Shivpreet had bagged laurels for the school in various Sport Climbing events. The school is proud of her achievement,’’ said Mr Sharma.
Congratulating Shivpreet Pannu on her achievement, Dr Kirat Sandhu Cheema, Director, Spring Dale Senior School, and Mr Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, Managing Trustee, Spring Dale Educational Society, said that with a view to enabling students to excel in this sport, school has afforded them with a state-of-the-art rock climbing wall.
“We are committed to constantly upgrading our sports and academic infrastructure to provide our students with the best of education and sports training that they need to excel in life,” they said.
