Spring Daleans win medals in Rhythmic Gymnastics
Gymnasts from Spring Dale Senior School proved their mettle in the sport once again by bagging medals in the 60th School National Games held at Delhi. The students competed with teams from other schools to bag these medals. Giving details, Mr Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Principal, Spring Dale Senior School, said that Anikta Sachdeva, a budding gymnast from Spring Dales, bagged a bronze medal each in the individual and team events in the clubs event in the under-19 category.
He added that in the under-17 events Muskaan Vij, another gymnast from Spring Dales bagged a bronze medal each in the individual and team events in the hoop event. Sarpreet Kaur Sidhu, another gymnast from the school, bagged a bronze medal in the team events. Meanwhile, Vanshika Jayee, Tisha Mahajan, Manmeet Kaur and Kanishka Salhotra, all members of the school’s under-14 team, bagged a bronze medal each in the Games.
“The school is proud of their achievements,” he said. Dr Kirat Sandhu Cheema, Director, Spring Dale Educational Society, and Mr Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, Director and Managing Trustee, Spring Dale Educational Society, also congratulated the winners.
