Spring Daleans compete with students from different states to win abacus competition

Displaying amazing brain skills once again, a team of budding mathematical geniuses from Spring Dale Senior School competed with teams from various schools from 21 states to bag key positions in the Eleventh National Abacus and Mental Arithmetic Competition held at Jaipur.
Devam Aggarwal (category Z-EL), Vedanti Sinha (category B) and Rigved Sinha (category L), all students of Spring Dale Senior School, bagged key positions in their respective categories after competing with more than 700 students from different schools from 21 states, in this competition.
Mr Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Principal, Spring Dale Senior School, said that Devam Aggarwal competed at least 312 students in the Z-EL caregory, Vedanti Sinha with 178 in B Category and Rigveda Sinha competed with 211 students in the L Category to bag top positions in the competition.
He added that the school has teamed up with Nex-Gen Kids’ academy, a branch of Ideal Play Abacus (IPA) India Private Ltd, to run an abacus training programme for its students. “The school aims at enhancing the mathematical abilities of its students by making arrangements for imparting excellent abacustraining to them,” he said.
Dr Kirat Sandhu Cheema, Director, Spring Dale Educational Society, and Mr Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, Director and Managing Trustee, Spring Dale Educational Society, congratulated the students and wished them all the best for their future endeavours.
