Budding climber from Spring Dales wins laurels for her school

 In continuance with the exploits of budding sports persons from Spring Dale Senior School in the field of sports, Shivpreet Pannu, a potential climber from the school attained new heights in the field of Sport Climbing when she bagged laurels in the 11th Open National Sport Climbing Competition held at the hiking club of St. Stephen’s College, Delhi.
She won two gold medals and a cash prize amounting to Rs 7,000 in the event. Giving details, Mr Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Principal, Spring Dale Senior School, said that Shivpreet Pannu was declared the All Round Best Climber in the event with two gold medals in lead and speed climbing.
“She was also conferred a cash prize of Rs 7000 for her outstanding performance in the event,” Mr Sharma said. Terming Sport Climbing as an ‘exceptional sport’, he added that previously too Shivpreet had bagged laurels for the school in various Sport Climbing events. The school is proud of her achievement,’’ said Mr Sharma. 
Congratulating Shivpreet Pannu on her achievement, Dr Kirat Sandhu Cheema, Director, Spring Dale Senior School, and Mr Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, Managing Trustee, Spring Dale Educational Society, said that with a view to enabling students to excel in this sport, school has afforded them with a state-of-the-art rock climbing wall.
