A good and dedicated teacher is the cornerstone of a child’s success. Outstanding teachers transform lives; they capture and fire imagination; they inspire; they take facts and ideas and turn them into adventures. And this is what Ms. Isha Bhalla personifies. Ms Bhalla, who has been in the teaching profession for seven years, is an M.A., B.Ed. and has been teaching the subject of Social Science to middle and high school students.
She has been affiliated with the school’s heritage conservation and leadership and personality development training programs since then. She has also been a subject coordinator for Social Science for grade VI to VIII and responsible for academic planning and assessment. She was honoured with Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan Award for excellence in year 2008.
Ms Bhalla is arrested by her true blue passion about her work and loves to travel as and when afforded a chance. She is associated with school’s heritage conservation programs, under which she got an opportunity to be a part of a workshop organized by Punjab Tourism Department on 27th September, 2012 on the eve of ‘World Tourism Day’ She also participated in the Heritage Education Training Workshop which a part of World Heritage Day Celebration, organized by CBSE at Delhi Secretariat on 16th April’ 2013. She has also been acknowledged as successful Trainer in the Training Program of Eleven modules in Tourism Awareness conducted by Punjab Tourism Promotion Board and UNW Tourism Organization.
In her capacity as the coordinator of the School’s Heritage Club, Ms Bhalla plays an astronomical role in the Heritage Walks organized by INTACH. That’s not enough as she has participated in the international life skills, school health and well being Summit – 2012 organized by CBSE in collaboration with Expressions India. She played a model role in the Mock United Nations (MUNs) held in Delhi, Chandigarh and Sri Lanka. Apart from this, she also accompanied the school’s contingent to NASA in 2013.
