“When one teaches someone else, it ignites in him a desire to learn. I think that is the mark of an effective teacher,” says Ms Kaurr. A graduate of Miranda House, Delhi University, Ms Kaurr possesses B.A., M.A., and CTET degrees and has been in the education field for nine years. Besides this, she has done an HSM course from NIIT. Her flair for classical dances, art and craft and the awards that she has been awarded for the same in various competitions, speak volumes about her creative streak.
When she came to Amritsar, she was thrilled to join Spring Dale Senior School and its vibrant community where the focus is on providing exciting options for students’ long term success. She worked as a class teacher of class 2nd in the session 2007-08. She then, sincerely executed her duties as a facilitator of classes 1st and 2nd from 2011-2016 and was the facilitator of classes 7th and 8th since 2016.
Interested in teaching since her childhood, Ms Kaurr formally launched her teaching career as a temporary teacher in Spring Days Model School, Delhi in 1996-1997. She later joined Guru Teg Bahadur Public School, Delhi as PRT, from 1997-1998.
Positions held:She joined Spring Dale Senior School in 2007. She worked as a class teacher of class II in the session 2007-08. She was then entrusted the duties of facilitator of classes I and II from 2011-2016 and as middle school facilitator for classes VI and VII from 2016-2018. At present, she is serving the institution as the Primary School Facilitator (classes III and IV).
Workshops attended: To reinforce her teaching skills, Ms Kaurr participated in a Literacy Campaign in Delhi, attended a ‘Capacity Building Programme on Gender Sensitivity’ conducted by GSR Educational Services Pvt. Ltd. in 2014, attended a one-day seminar on “Demystifying Emotional Intelligence” at Lovely Professional University in 2016, attended the ‘Capacity Building Programme on Classroom Management’ organized by CBSE in 2017.
Awards: She was awarded appreciation certificates in acknowledgement of her initiative, commitment and valuable services towards SOF as IEO School In charge, IEO School In charge and NSO Class In charge.
According to Ms. Aajjeeithh Kaurr, “There is not a single day when I don’t have to stretch my creativity and try to find new ways to transmit something to my students. This also enthuses in me more urge to learn and empower me and my students with skills and knowledge. This journey of mine has a beginning, and middle but no end.”
