Ms Kanika Soni

Industrious by nature, Ms Kanika Soni is the Pre-College Facilitator, Coordinator, Examinations, and Deputy Superintendent, JEE, CTET and UGC Exams, at Spring Dale Senior School, Amritsar. She is also working as a coordinator for Board Practical Examination (AISSCE). Equipped with degrees as M.Sc in Zoology (Gold Medallist) and Bachelors in Education, Ms Soni has a teaching experience spanning 14 years.

Ms Soni joined Spring Dale Senior School in 2003. A teacher of Biology for class XII since 2003, Ms Soni has worked as a Science Coordinator for classes VI to VIII. She has helped class XII students produce good results over the years. She rendered her valuable services as a Centre Superintendent during the Board Examination 2014 (AISSE/AISSCE).

Her leadership in the capacity of Coordinator, Swachh Bharat, Swachh Vidyalya Campaign enabled the already immaculate school campus to literally shine during the Swachh Bharat, Swachh Vidyalya Campaign conducted in 2014. She served the school as Coordinator, National School Sanitation Programme under which the school was awarded by Dr M M Pallam Raju, former Union Minister, in New Delhi, for observing high standards of sanitation.

Her services as Green School Programme (Audit) 2015 Coordinator are also quite noteworthy. Besides discharging duties as Head Examiner for Science AISSE in 2008, Ms Soni was in charge of ‘Waves of change’ programme initiated by the CBSE in 2012.

Workshops attended: Along with a team of promising senior Secondary students, Ms Soni participated in the SCERT Exhibition 2007, in Chandigarh. Her guidance enabled the school team to bag the first place for their exhibit. She has also participated in the Science Exhibition organized by the State Institute of Science Education (SISE) Chandigarh in 2007. Apart from this, she has also attended the CCE Training Programme held in the school premises in November 2012.

Awards and Honours: In view of her ingenuity and dedication as a teacher, Ms Soni was conferred Sahodaya Best Teacher Award, in 2015, and Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan Award for Excellence, in 2006.
