The Computer Department at Spring Dale Senior School is headed under the able and extremely talented auspices of Mr Sumit Bhardwaj. Mr Bhardwaj, who is an M.C.A, has been associated with the school since October, 2011. Mr Bhardwaj, who has set high academic goals for himself, has cleared the Ph.D Entrance Exam conducted by Punjab Technical University. Presently, he is the coordinator of the school's ICT Club.
Before he was a part of Spring Dale Senior School, he worked with various Web Development companies. Mr Bhardwaj has worked with Tranceserve IT sol pvt Ltd and is a dab hand at developing web applications using .net, jquery, Json, Ajax, T-SQL, Html, Css, and PHP technologies.
Mr Bhardwaj has a list of achievements to his credit. He achieved the first rank in the ISTE National Level Techno-Cultural Symposium held in Nov 2009 in the event Code Debugging, first rank in ISTE National Level Techno-Cultural Symposium also held in Nov 2009 in the event Project Display.
Apart from this, he achieved the first rank in a Quiz Contest held at Khalsa College for Women in 2007. He has also attended 'Microsoft Innovative Schools Workshop' held in May, 2012, in Amritsar. The workshop covered all aspects related to school education namely study material, innovative teaching, development of teachers, student participation, tools and technology involved.
Mr Bhardwaj presented a paper in the national seminar on social networking sites titled 'Boon or Bane' sponsored by the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi held in October, 2011. He has also published a paper in 'Emerging technologies in computing', published by the Dev Samaj College, in November, 2011. His exceptional care, guidance and support have enabled students to make the best of the wealth of IT opportunities offered by the school.
