Ms Guneet Arora, is one of the versatile faculty members of Spring Dale Senior School, who is currently serving the institution in the capacity of the Junior School Facilitator. Armed with a teaching experience of more than 15 years and MA (English), B.Sc., B.Ed degrees, she specializes in the teaching of Science and Technology.
Ms Arora, joined the school as a TGT in 2001, she served as a coordinator for the subject of Science for nine years, as aMiddle School Facilitator for three years and for an equal number of years as a High School Facilitator, before taking charge as the facilitator for Grades I and II.
Her dexterity as a teacher of Science and Technology was highlighted when she headed the teams that won positions in the State Science Competition (2001, 2002), and the teams that won at the CBSE Regional Science Exhibition and represented School in the Nationals (2005, 2007).
She was the Advisor to the teams that won ‘The Asian Regional Space Settlement Design Competition’ (2007, 2008), besides donning the mantle of advisor for the team that participated in ‘The International Space Settlement Design Competition’ held at Gilruth Space Centre, Houston, USA (2009), besides serving as a technical expert in the Asian Regional Space Settlement design Competition (2009).
Her other responsibilities include executing duties in CBSE evaluation for grade X (since 2003). Ms Arora was conferred‘Sarvapali Radhakrishan Award of Excellence’ by Spring Dale Educational Society in 2006; ‘Best teacher Award’ by Sahodaya Schools Complex (2008), and ‘Award of Honour’ by Rotary Club Amritsar South East (2008) for her outstanding services to the field of education.
To keep abreast with the advancements in Science and Technology, she attended a 7 day Space School Programme at Johnson Space Centre, Houston, USA (2008), besides attending ‘Going Beyond’, an interactive session with famous astronaut Sunita Williams.
Her penchant for perfection in her field made her attend various workshops on innovative teaching methodology which include multiple intelligences conducted by Ms. Margaret Warner, besides a three day workshop in Doon Public School on learning preferences by Mr. Flemming, an academician based in New Zealand.
She attended a workshop on ‘Excellence in Education’ conducted by the CII Institute, apart from a two day workshop, ‘Discipline with the brain in Mind’ by Vicki by Hannah Lein, a US based Counsellor.
